Founder & Co-Owner


Adriaan S Meyer,  Founder and Co-owner of the Consultancy dedicated more than 40 years of his life to Law Enforcement in South Africa.

His present area of specialization t.w. technology assisted forensic analysis of litigation related documentation is based on his academic achievement, many years of research and work experience in the following capacities:

  1. As criminal court prosecutor, clerk in the office of Clerk of the Civil Court [The Department of Justice for 5 Years].
  2. As Special forces operative, inter alia as paratrooper, battle medic [1st Responder] and weapons/explosives expert [2 years].
  3. As Military Intelligence Officer [5 Years].  
  4. As South African Police officer on permanent basis, as reserve police officer and reservist police diver [14 years]. He received several commendations for professional achievements
    • During postings at Oshoek and Mahamba as COIN Base Commander on the Swaziland (Now eSwatini) border he was commended for operational excellence in anti-crime and counter-insurgency operations
    • While serving at Komatipoort as SAP District station commander he received a commendation from the United Nations High Commission For Refugees (UNHCR) for his work with refugees from Mozambique.
      As senior detective he was inter alia tasked with ministerial level and Interpol investigations. These include a high profile illegal international fire-arm trading operation.
      He made legal history several times in prominent investigations, including
      • The 1st case in South Africa where a woman (mother) was found guilty on the main charge of statutory rape (= on her own daughters who both were under the age of 10 years)
      • He was the 1st detective who refused to apply the Immorality Act and instead instituted prosecution for prostitution [1982].
      • He was commended by the SAP Inspectorate for his design and development of technology assisted Crime Intel System to eradicate street prostitution, specifically in the case of young, school-age prostitutes.
      • Engineered a change of the Pornography Act of the time to include electronic (Video) material in a case where his accused was a police officer who was also a station commander.
      • As police diver he was a Co-Receiver of a Ministerial recommendation for excellence in police diving achievement at the Gamkaskloof Dam search for bodies of several drowning national servicemen.
  1. As Senior Law Advisor in the Consumer Council, a Department of the SA National Department of Trade [5 Years].
  2. As career path architect - for more than 20 years - in the private sector, as co-founder of the very successful National Youth Development Trust [NYDT], creating opportunities for emerging scientists and leaders in South Africa and Africa. He reached several national and international mile-stones, and was commended by the Commonwealth Secretariat in the 2008 Commonwealth Finance Ministers Reference Report.

 

His greatest achievement was in 1995, when former President Nelson Mandela described him “A South African of real achievement and excellence” [9 August 1995].
